Howdy is an educational English course designed to immerse students in the everyday culture of the United States through engaging, fun, and relevant content. Rather than focusing solely on grammar or textbook vocabulary, the course uses real-life themes and cultural references to make language learning more dynamic and meaningful.

Challenge
The goal was to create a course that stands out from traditional country studies programs. It needed to be lively, memorable, and visually appealing, so that students wouldn’t associate it with formal, boring materials. It was also important to keep the content easy to absorb while conveying the spirit of America.

Design approach
The visual concept of the course was based on the idea of moving away from typical “educational” design. Instead of dull diagrams and generic icons, a playful style was chosen, inspired by classic American retro animation, with nods to old cartoons like Mickey Mouse, stylized collages, grainy textures, and dynamic compositions.
This approach not only creates a sense of nostalgia and warmth but also makes the visual language more friendly, memorable, and full of life.
